In John, Chapter 20, Mary Magdalene finds the resurrected Jesus in the garden, but didn't immediately recognize Him. John tells us she thought Jesus was the gardener. Why did she think that?
The first Adam failed in his role as a gardener. His disobedience brought death to all and he was removed from the garden as the day ended. Thorns grew in the soil because of first Adam's failure.
Jesus, the last Adam, remembered His Father's command to tend the garden. He obediently fulfilled his role as gardener at the *beginning* of the new day. Even greater still, the soil He now works on with his hands is the soil of the human heart, which He makes healthy and infuses with His life.
